Today at 4 PM at the Film Center. Since 1978, Alan Brigish has roamed the Vineyard and the far reaches of the world with his camera. The very best of his collection of images from these journeys form the basis of his upcoming photographic exhibit at the Martha’s Vineyard Film Center, October 26 – November 24, 2014. Vineyard Zen, the first multimedia show produced by Alan Brigish and Susan Klein, is now showing in the lobby of the Film Center. Impermanence, the second of the Brigish/Klein multi-media series, will debut as a curtain raiser to the main movie on Sunday afternoon, October 26th. This ten minute video enables the viewer to experience change in a refreshing and thought provoking way. The featured movie, MONK WITH A CAMERA, chronicles the life and spiritual quest of Nicholas (Nicky) Vreeland. The son of a US ambassador, grandson of legendary Vogue editor Diana Vreeland, and a photographer, dandy, and playboy, Nicky left his privileged life behind to follow his true calling as a Tibetan monk. This beautifully crafted film chronicles his remarkable life, and includes unique coverage with HRH The Dalai Lama and Richard Gere.
