Today at 5:30pm, the USRFD was dispatched to respond to a home on Terhune Court for a smoke condition called in by the resident. Asst Chief Vierheilig arrived on scene to find a moderate smoke condition in the basement. Engine 1232 (OIC FF Kelly), Chief Vogelsang, Engine 1231 (OIC FF McGuire) and HHKFD Engine 731 and HHKFD Asst Chief 740 were all the units on the assignment. Crews investigated to find a faulty air conditioning unit. The unit was shut down, area checked, and residence ventilated. Once clear, all units were returned by command.
