Today at church I met an incredible man that might have changed my life. As I was greeting in the visitor parking a young man pulled into a handicapped parking spot. As I approached his car to welcome him, I see him assemble piece by piece his wheelchair one handed. I find out hes been paralyzed from the waist down for 12 years because of an auto accident. But what changed my subtle Christian church life was this man chooses every Sunday to take almost 10 minutes to assemble his wheelchair in incredibly uncomfortable conditions to come and be a part of the family of God. Wow. And sometimes I complain about feeling tired.
