Today at the post office I saw the most wonderful big orange cat. It was tethered to a shopping cart and traveling happily along riding atop a heap of odds and ends with a very tattered looking street person, a man with a heavy grey beard and wearing rags. I had the feeling that both were rejected by all and at least have each other in this world. Cautiously I complimented him on the great cat, then moved on, as he was reluctant, but he did acknowledge the compliment.
