Upon arrival, officers spoke with Loss Prevention officer Joe Lowe, who stated that two subjects had left the store without paying for items. The subjects were Ms. Tina Padin of Walnut Circle in McKenzie and Gina Alas also of Walnut Circle in McKenzie. After speaking with both females, they stated that they thought their EBT card had gone through, they were told by the clerk that the card had been declined and to go to the service desk. Instead they subjects walked out the door without paying. Ms. Padin had a prior shoplifting charge in the store, so she was charged also with criminal trespassing.
