Today begins a new era, the first ever division 1 college football playoffs. I will of course be pulling for the Crimson Tide. It doesnt matter who wins the other game, but, I would really like to watch Alabama beat fsu for the title. And for my Auburn friends out there. I do hope your team wins today and they should. After all the last game Wisconsin played they lost 55-0 I think it was. But, let me give you some advice. Pick a slogan and stick with it. FAMILY, ALL IN(however the coach who brought that one in got fired), AUBURN FAST, BELIEVE IN AUBURN, and the mythical WAR EAGLE are all perfectly acceptable mottos. Make a choice. But the ones that make no sense whatsoever are the TEAM OF DESTINY that was used all last year to no avail, and the thoroughly irritating decal STATE OF AUBURN, which is an insult to every Geography teacher that has ever stood in front of a map in a classroom pointing out the states to their students, and to the Cartographer who drew it. Also to every one of us who proudly call ourselves ALABAMIANS. And wasnt that tried with a Georgia map also? And lastly, when your team does win today please do not vandalize poor old Mr. Toomers property again. I imagine he is getting tired of it and would appreciate not having to clean that mess up. Roll Tide! And for today go Auburn.
