Today being the first day of Black History Month I wanted to just make a suggestion to those of you who think that black culture and racial tolerance have a lot of growth to to make. Instead of focusing on the negative personification of blacks we should celebrate how far we have come and how far we will go. I ask that we celebrate those persons, companies, businesses that have shown the black community in another light other than through the negative stereotypes we often have been shown as. Something as simple as having black families as the forefront of commercials, tv shows, advertisements deserve a big thank you! So I want to to say thank you to Cheerios, Capri Sun, Nickelodeon, and all the other major cooperations who have given us an opportunity to show who we are an through normal eyes versus the ignorant eyes that often view us as less than. So THANK YOU, for showing everyone that we are just people too and we can be beautiful, successful, and amazing :)
