Today being the holy day of Rakhya Bandhan, a Blood donation camp was organized by NYP Boys and Girls in Secretariate Ministerial Assn, unit 3 Bhubaneswar. I was fortunate to be associated in the camp along with Dr Debasis Misra, Mayor Ananta Jena and Madhu Sudan das (convener NYP) Around 39 youth donated each 350 ml Blood for the needy of our State. Dr Debasis told me that, on an average, for our 4 crore people of Odisha State ., we need 4 lakhs of people to donate blood once in a year. In such case no person will die for want of blood. With present level of motivation 3.6 lakhs of people are donating blood. Another 40 thousands of people needs to be motivated. He said the necessity for more blood is because of the rate of rise in accidents. All youth present were further motivated to conduct a camp in each ward of bhubaneswar every month. All of us ( seniors) promised to support their camp. It was a wonderful day for me.
