Today ended with the Sanctuary finding room for two lost souls. Pulled from a kill shelter in Kentucky these precious babies were brought to us by an angel and will now start their new lives to regain trust and health. Skinny, terrified and willing to bite because of past trauma, they were settled into clean warm beds with extra covers, given dry and soft food, water which they inhaled, and kisses before I left them. They will start much needed vet care tomorrow but for tonight all they have to do is be warm, safe and have full bellies and sleep in peace in the arms of the Sanctuary where they will have no more worries and will be loved and protected.
