Today for sunday mass Saint Joseph church in Ankawa was packed with Chaldean Catholics. Among them were many refugees from Mossul and Christian cities like Karakosh that were affected by the fighting between ISIS and Kurdish troops last week. According to the local church in Ankawa on sunday, many refugees from cities like Karakosh are going back since Kurdish troops secured their areas. After the bombardment of Karakosh tens of thousands of Christians from Iraqs biggest Christian town sought refuge in Kurdish zones.
