Today, get started with at 11:30 with the music of Alex Sanchez, sometimes alternative and even new age at times. This evening at 6:30pm, kick up your heels with Lubbock country music legend Gary Nix and Tommy Joe Fisher. Our first act on stage today is Alex Sanchez, whos a wonderful guitarist who sometimes delves into rich alternative and new age music. Alex Sanchez is on at 11:30 today at the Mean Woman Grill, as he is every Tuesday at lunch. He plays an eclectic variety of cover songs and original music. Alex Sanchez is a drummer, percussionist, bassist, guitarist, pianist, vocalist, composer, lyricist, and beatmaker who has been actively performing and collaborating within a wide range of musical styles and influences over the past decade. Originally from Odessa, Texas, Alex was raised around a variety of music, and began learning piano as a child at six, later to continue through the public school system to join the percussion and drumline programs, as well as a classical guitar program throughout his high school years, and was a state-ranking musician for both programs. He loves listening, playing, and making all different types of music, and has been able to continue performing since moving to Lubbock, Texas since high school graduation. It wasnt until Alex took a songwriting class at Texas Tech when he was 19 that he decided to write his ideas down and start singing his material himself instead of having to find someone capable that wasnt already busy, and through this path, he discovered his voice, his soul, his mind, and his own journey. Alex is currently living and locally performing in Lubbock, Texas, with various cover groups and original acts, and is currently recording his second solo album in its entirety as well as collaborative outside projects with other artists at Texas Tech Universitys newly donated Crossroads Recording Studio and other recording locations around town. Recently he has banded together an extension of his original music to be able to play as a full band live around town, keep an eye out for his full band, The Kill Time Conspiracy!
