Today had to take Ryan to apply for his new ID card. I dropped - TopicsExpress

Today had to take Ryan to apply for his new ID card. I dropped him off and searched for a parking.... Parked on a yellow line waiting for him in Durban city was a Real eye opener. I guess working from home, seeing early morning sunrises and spending very holiday deep in the bush, I am somewhat cut off from what really goes on... I just read the morning papers and shake my head. Every taxi that dropped a passenger off first kicked all the Kentucky boxes and chip packets out in the road, and then the passengers alighted. Then I witnessed more than one having a pee wherever they like. Feeling positively ill I could not wait for Ryan to return to the car! Then the final straw, all the posters advertising the fact that a 4 year old was dragged to his death behind a hijacked vehicle, had me in tears by the time I entered my secure living place (which I cannot own because Im not BEE enough to get a bond). Its just hard sometimes to stay positive in SA. I have been putting this off but today I am finally applying for that British passport. #feelingsad #lovedSA
