Today has been a day which must be marked in history and ensured never to be repeated in the future. The Dilshad Garden church has been brought down into ashes. It is important you know what happened. The church was set on fire when the guard was not there, early, even before the break of dawn. Neither the fire brigade, nor the police not the forensic team was on time. Main issues: 1. SHO made a public statement saying that church was burnt because of short circuit. Parishioners and fathers found kerosene everywhere inside the church. 2. On demand and pressure by youth for changing statement by SHO, another senior official commented that it was a mischief by someone. 3. No media broadcast despite coverage by a few. 4. Political leaders like Kejriwal, Lovely and Yusuf came to offer sympathy and not help and justice. It has happened in one church now and we cannot let it happen to another. Your support is needed urgently. There is a protest march today 2nd Dec at ITO, Police Headquarters at 10 am. Kindly gather in large numbers. We have three demands: 1. An inquiry committee needs to be set up under a retired high Court judge on this matter. 2. The government must pay to build the church once again before Christmas. 3. The current SHO should be suspended for making this statement. The memorandum would be submitted tomorrow in the presence of everyone. We need to be in large numbers to protest. Despite the events our protest is prayerful not silent. We need to shout And tell them that we are hurt and also tell them that we are people of love and we do not hurt. You make a difference.
