Today has been a memorable and historic day in Albany. Among those visiting to commemorate the centenary of the departure of the first Anzac convoy were the Governor-General, Prime Minister Tony Abbott, New Zealands Prime Minster John Key, Premier Colin Barnett and a range of dignitaries representing foreign governments. But above all, this has been a day for Albanys residents and all those who travelled from near and far and lined the streets, hilltops and beaches to watch these events.
