Today has been a very busy day and reinforces one more time why we do what we do and what rescue is truly all about right here at Leave No Paws Behind, Inc.. I cannot express in mere words my gratitude to everyone who has made it possible for Bri to receive the gift of life. She has traveled over 350 miles with the most loving and amazing human angels ever! She has had more love and kindness in the over 6 hours she has been on her journey then I am sure she has known in a long time. The shelter told me that no one wanted her because she was old, sick and unadoptable :-( Well here at LNPB it does not matter if they are deemed unadoptable, untreatable or too old. It does not matter to us if they have 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month or 1 year of life left, all that matters is the love and quality of life we can give them for as long as we are blessed we them. I cannot tell you how, each and every day, my faith in the goodness and kindness of humankind continues to be restored on a daily basis right here at this Village of the most amazing people ever. Today was a perfect example of people helping people helping paws and together making the impossible possible and moving that unmovable mountain. Today the message was loud and clear as we journeyed across Ca, We do what we do because their life matters! Avery big heart felt thank you to Kathy, Jen, Rochele and Lenny for assuring Bri was comfortable and safe on her journey. A very bif paws up to Jody Ann for never giving up and going that extra mile to assure Bris safety. Last but not least, I want to thank all of you who work tirelessly to cross post and net work these animals to safety. We could not do what we do without all of you! Today, together we saved a life and for whatever time we are blessed with Bri, not one second will pass that she does not know how much she is loved and how much her life matters. YOU made this happened, YOU saved her life, YOU are the real heroes in rescue :-) God bless you all for all you do for the animals!
