Today has been a wondeful day for me. I got to do some things that I havent done in a long time about two years And thought I would never be able to again. First after I took Josh to school I has a few things to do like banking and then cable office . They need to be paying me instead of me paying them. But thats another story.First I got to go shopping in two stores. Now that may not seem like a big thing to some but to me it been almost two years. I thought I would never do this again. But my Lord and Savior had other plans. Thank you Jesus for a great day. On my way home my little toy wind-up car had a mind of its own. And I just had it serviced last week. Now I never go to yard sales because it is eather to hot or I was at work. Just never did find anything. But my little car was doing some strange things. Pulled up to this house that had a big sign that said yard sale. By now I was really doing some talking to myself. Since I was there I might as well look.I was thinking all the time that they just might have a sewing machine. Now you all know about my addiction. And I have been trying to stay on the wagon. I made one turn and there she was. It had a little sign that said great buy $50 . And boy was she a great buy. The lady said it was her grandmothers. She was born in 1948. When we are young we do some foolish thing. I have and I still regret selling some things when I was younger. Now I know she hasnt sewed in a long time. In fact thead was wound around the bobbin case and the oil had dried up around the thread.So I know this sweet little lady had not sewed in a long time. Maybe 3o years or more.I am going to ask those people what the lady name was and I am going to name my little lady after her.Well I spend this afternoon cleaning her up. Sure took a long while taking her apart to get all this thread out. I dont believe I have ever saw so much thread wound under the bobbin case. The people that owned her I know thought she wouldnt sew and she would have never sewn like that. Well after about three hours she sews wonderful. I may not get out of bed tomorrow but today has been wonderful.Here is her picture and the dried up thread.
