Today has been one of the longest days in a long time for me with running Stage 1-5 of EWS. Since being off the bike for almost a month and a half because of an accident at work, I have been pushing both myself and my body beyond what it should physically be able to do. Tomorrow morning at 8am will show just how far 1 can go in the pursuit to show what both mental and physical strength are as I set out for round 5 of the Enduro World Series at Whistler Crankworx. This past week has been both painful and an amazing time to reflect on alot of things that I have both done in my life and been put through. I want to thank my family and friends for helping me out as much as they have and for being there to assist me through all this as I bring myself back to the world stage to compete with the best this week. This past week I was able to get a good friend of mine David Frid, to overcome his fears on a DH bike when it came to technical descents and jumping. By the end of his trip he was the one that would jump in front to go down both black and double black diamond trails, he even ventured on to the illusive A-Line and Dirt Merchant to hit a couple step down gaps and table tops. Huge thank you to my friend Stephanie Adams, she has been amazing in helping me out with the swelling in my ankle so that I can both train and compete. For a girl that moved out here from Ontario to go to school, she can sure shred with the best with no fear of hoping into double black diamond trails to show the boys where its at. Tune in tomorrow at CRANKWORX.COM to see the live webcast of stage 5 of the Enduro World Series here at Whistler. The KHS 650B bikes will be out in force to show what they are made of, and what they can do.
