Today has been such a horrible day. After lunch on our way to the surgeons appt we got into an accident. Someone t-boned us in the driver side door. Everyone is ok but my car most likely will be totaled. They wanted to take Charlotte to the hospital to check her out. Even though she is completely fine they want to keep her here over night to watch her and prep her for surgery tomorrow at 12. The surgeon said the surgery will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Its very similar to her first repair...this one just deals with scar tissue as well. Almost all of her left lung is being compressed by her intestines. From the X-ray it looks like the hole is in the middle of her diaphragm. The doctor said her lungs are stronger than they were when she had her first surgery so she expects her to have no complications. The hope is after the surgery she will be able to come home off all oxygen. Even though shes been through a lot today she is her regular happy self. This evening she even started laughing! Ill post tomorrow once they take her back and after. Thanks in advance for all the love, prayers and support!
