Today has been the most wired day. Here is the rundown from leaving the Gold Coast. 1.) Get to airport 1 hour 10 early, checkin is so slow that it become a rush to get checked in. Call all people heading to Adelaide via melb to front of line. Irate lady straight from the set of Jerry Springer ( or so I thought) standing at front of line yelling at everyone as she is now pissed off that she has been waiting for ages and we all have to get in front of her to check in for our flight) 2.) Finally get to check in and boarding pass machine not working so I get a sticker and not a boarding pass. 3.) get ready to board and Virgin staff say I have to stand to the side as I dont have a boarding pass and need to wait for everyone else to board. 4.) finally get on and 15 minutes after take off water starts gushing out of over head locker. Virgin staff open and some tourist bought a bad full of Lobster on Ice onto the plane which is now Lobster in cold water which has filled the over head locker. The lady across from me was an artist that had all her paintings and drawings in a bag that was now soaking wet. She starts going crazy and yelling as she is obviously upset. Girl behind is allergic to shellfish and can die if she touches. So staff are trying to clean up fish smelling water while dealing with stressed artist and moving the allergic girl. 5.) get into Melbourne late and need to run to get joining flight. Get to the gate while people are still boarding and staff inform me I have been moved to a flight 2 hours later. A LITTLE BIT OF MOJO Sometimes you just need to smile and laugh at your circumstances. Shit happens. Lucky we live in one of the greatest countries in earth and all you can do is smile and laugh.
