Today has truly been an awe-inspiring day. Ive been to some cool places over the past month, and Ive met some great people. However this tour was booked around one of my life long dreams to see Mt. Rushmore. I started my morning being the first person through the gate. My emotions overtook me as my eyes welled up with tears. It was more breathtaking than I imagined. After about 3 hours of taking it in, I then headed 17 miles away to the Crazy Horse monument. 2 days a year they allow people to make the 5 mile hike through the forest up the hill and on to the arm of the sculpture. Today was one of those days. It was stunning, and mind-blowing to think that these were sculpted into a mountain with dynamite. A very remarkable and emotional day for me. Ill spend the rest of the week hiking the Black Hills and going to DeadWood. Thursday evening Ill be returning to Rushmore for the lighting ceremony. Then closing my time here in South Dakota with a show at the VFW in Rapid City next weekend. Love you all. c);D
