Today in 1910 - Lord Baden-Powells sister Agnes formed the Girl Guides. Lord Baden-Powell of course was behind the formation of the Boy Scouts, and with Agnes forming Girl Guides, youd think that the Baden-Powells have done wonders for young people and families, and have promoted healthy outdoorsieness for generations. Unfortunately, the black-sheep of the family, Neville El Duce Baden-Powell founded the Devils Rangers, offering children badges for such things as Constructing a Meth Lab and Cheating Old People Out Of Their Life Savings - which rather tarnished the family name somewhat. For a time in Britain - particularly during the 1960s - the woods and lake regions were frequently alive with the sounds of pitched battle between the forces of light and darkness, as the woggle-wearing scouts (and girl guides) fought to overcome the depredation of the knife-wielding rangers. The Devils Rangers soon faded into obscurity, however, and scouts no longer have badges for collecting ranger scalps
