A member of numerous Bluegrass bands, he plays with Bill Monroe in the early-1950s, appearing on Wheel Hoss, In The Pines and Blue Moon Of Kentucky 1904- Cliff Carlisle is born in Mount Eden, Kentucky. He joins brother Bill to form The Carlisle Brothers, performing together from 1930-1947.
