Today in Rock History: November 24, 1991 - Queen singer Freddie Mercury died of complications from AIDS, one day after publicly admitting he was HIV positive. He was 45 years old. As a performer, he was known for his flamboyant stage persona and powerful vocals over a four-octave range. As a songwriter, he composed many hits for Queen, including Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen” and We Are the Champions. As a member of Queen, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 and into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2003. Let’s worship this rock god with his performance of “Bohemian Rhapsody” in the Montreal, Canada concert in 1981, considered to some as the best Queen concert of all times and took place exactly ten years to the date before Mercury died: https://youtube/watch?v=N0dbGGvsjf8
