Today in Rock History, October 21, 1957 Guitarist Steve Lukather, of the band Toto, was born in the San Fernando Valley, California. He became a prolific session guitarist in addition to his work with Toto he has recorded guitar tracks for more than 1,500 albums representing a broad array of artists and genres. He has also released seven solo albums. He has been nominated for twelve Grammy awards, and has won five.
