Today in Senate Estimates I questioned the Department of Social Services about the National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children. The Second Action Plan was launched by Prime Minister in June, as part of a truly National Plan to reduce Violence against women and their children. The Department updated me on the progress on the plan, which includes a $100 million funding allocation over four years, and it was great to see so many in the community engaged with the cause. White Ribbon is one organisation funded by the Federal Government and works tirelessly to educate, change behaviours and provide information on domestic violence.
