Today in TV History Cult favorite sitcom “Bosom Buddies” with Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari debuted on ABC in 1980. It aired for two seasons, producing 38 episodes. In 1992, shock-jock Howard Stern signed a contract for a reported $1.1 million for a total of 36 episodes of a late night talk show on E! called “The Howard Stern Interview.” It was one half-hour in length with Stern speaking with one celebrity guest each week.
