Today in history.... In 1964, a cluster of severe thunderstorms moved from northeast to southwest across Sequoyah Co, OK. Several homes and a school were damaged in Gans, and other wind damage occurred in Muldrow and Roland. In 1986, a brief but intense heat wave saw the temperature in Tulsa reach 110 degrees on both the 29th and 30th. However, the temperature would only top 100 degrees one more time in Tulsa that summer.
