Today in the Cathedral we are having a special day of prayer for peace, with a Peace Vigil from 1.00pm until 2.00pm. All day, we will be posting prayers and thoughts about peace from our Clergy and lay staff, in the hope that those who cannot join us today may find time for a moment of quiet reflection. Our Community Missioner has offered the following: If there is to be peace in the world, There must be peace in the nations. If there is to be peace in the nations, There must be peace in the cities. If there is to be peace in the cities, There must be peace between neighbours. If there is to be peace between neighbours, There must be peace in the home. If there is to be peace in the home, There must be peace in the heart. (Lao-Tse - 6th Century BCE)
