Today in the morning I received the below message from an old school time friend who is a medical doctor. Read it carefully and in case you have relevant comments, please share :) Dear Mr. Azizi hope u would be fine i hope u wont mind if i take few minutes of yours Sir, back in my medical school days, we read in our textbooks that Stomach cancer is most common in Japanese, and researchers postulated that it could be due to the bombings. The textbooks even say it today. I am working in RMI these days. I have come across a shocking evidence. Sir Azizi, u can not imagine how common has the stomach cancer in Afghan patients become. We receive them, and I know how common it has become. It was never this common. I have been working in Peshawar, with pakistani and afghan patients for more than a decade, but never saw stomach cancer in afghan patient that commonly. Is that due the war? or accidental? or due to change in nutrition? or whatever Sir, I request you to hand me over any research done in this regard, because it is my field of interest. If not, kindly encourage your health care researchers to conduct a survey/research/study (cross sectional/cohort..retrospective .... or whatever), as its is very important Good day!!
