Today instead of having a rest day which I typically will do on Tuesdays, I decided literally to put them to rest. And commit to having a total HIT Cardio day instead. Typically “Rest Day’” is overrated when it comes to working out. If you’re doing mostly weight lifting “YES” you will need (1) day of rest to allow your muscles to have recovery time. However if you’re doing what I do with rotating 4 days weight lifting & 3 days cardio. You’re good to go… Today I did 1 ½ hours of HIT (High Interval Training) Cardio & LISS (Low Intensity Steady State) Cardio which can be used for fat loss and increased metabolic rate throughout the day. However LISS is best done first thing in the morning before you eat breakfast, if you do this 5 x a week you will burn 1 lbs of fat per week!
