Today is Carers Rights Day and wife turned carer is urging all ex-Service community carers to contact Blind Veterans UK to receive free, vital support For over a decade now, Trudy has been both a loving wife and carer to Mark, who was a former Army reservist. Mark suffers from amblyopia, a rare, hereditary condition that has worsened over time, until he was registered as blind over five years ago. Blind Veterans UK recognises the enormous contribution people like Trudy make, and thats why it is reaching out to more veterans and their carers who could be benefiting from its free services and support. She said Getting involved with Blind Veterans UK is the best thing weve ever done. I would encourage anyone who is in a similar situation to give the charity a call. noonealone.org.uk/news/2014/11/wife-turned-carer-urges-ex-service-community-carers-to-contact-blind-veterans-uk-to-receive-free,-vital-support-this-carers-rights-day
