Today is Christmas Day but burials of Ebola victims, including health care workers, continues unabated. These photos are scenes from funeral of Dr. Willoughby. In one, Im standing with doctors including Dr. Fofanah, Hon. Minister of Health & Sanitation and in another, Minister Fofanah is accompanying Cathedral Church clergy back to their cars after the medically safe burial. This is not a merry Christmas. Personally, I am spending an APC and SLPP Christmas as dictated by Ebola Virus, our new dictator in Sierra Leone. Ebola has dictated we all should Avoid Peoples Compounds (APC) & Siddom Lef Pass Pass (SLPP). So that is how I am spending the season - sitting at home and avoiding other peoples compounds. :-) (y) BUT..! I made an exception last evening by visiting the residences of some of the foreign medical doctors fighting Ebola in Sierra Leone; during which I thanked them for spending the festive season, NOT with their families but in selfless service to Sierra Leone humanity - even as we lose our local doctors. Only God can reward these foreigners here to help us at Christmas. Cheers to every single health worker in Sierra Leone - the locals and the foreigners. (y) (y)
