Today is Christmas Eve and I had to work - I was given the best gift ever to witness. I presented A Norman Rockwell Christmas art show in a SNF Alzheimers Unit; and then I took a risk. I knew I had 4 Catholic women and a Baptist (I had a list) so when the art show was over I used YouTube a cued up this Christmas Carol.- The women were in awe- one smiling ear to ear, the 2nd singing with all her might, the 3rd was watching the video with so much focus that her mouth hung open and the fourth kept time with her feet and moved her head. It was such a blessing and a joy to witness how the music and the classic nativity scene evoked positive memories/reaction- what a gift! We then played O Come All Ye Faithful and other classic Carols. They all told me how beautiful and wonderful it was to watch and wouldnt stop thanking me.
