Today is Day -10 in the transplant world. We are ten days out from Julians Rebithday! Today was a busy day of testing with neuropsychology. Julian did very well and is at or above his age developmentally in all areas. This was really just baseline testing, because these kids are followed for the rest of their childhoods, and sometimes this process can cause delays or regression. So, he is starting out on top in one more area. Tonight is Julians and Mamas last night at home. We will be going to U of M to check in tomorrow morning. Tomorrow, Julian will start the medication Keppra, which is to preemptively treat the risk of seizures that accompanies the first chemo med, which will be started at 4:00 AM on Thursday. The next few weeks are crucial for Julian. Please pray with us for Julians strength, for minimal side effects, for guidance for his medical team, for protection from infection, for 100% engraftment, and for minimal Graft versus Host Disease (GVHD). I cannot stress enough how much your prayers and support mean to us! This little boy is a treasure, and we release his care to the Lord, leaving him in the most capable hands.
