Today is Fowler Fest 2014 at last!!! Speaking on behalf of myself (DG Fredrickson) along w/the rest of the original Wizard band members (Lake Furney, Brian Fitts, Bob Rowden and Allan Diamond), we are excited to present to you the latest version of our collective efforts in the form of a reunion called Wizard lll--the Quickening (just kidding about the quickening bit). As you may already be aware, Wizard (™1981) is not actually an actively functioning band per se but rather a reunion type of concept. Our first reunion represented the 23-year mark and resulted in an approx 45 minute performance at Dogstock in July of 2004, an animal shelter fundraiser near Melvern KS produced by our late friend Randy Long. Additionally, the passing of another dear friend, Wayne Willette was weighing heavy on our hearts and minds at that time as well. Next, and much to the request and desire of one Tom Fowler (thank you Tom for presenting the opportunity), our second get-together was at Fowler Fest 2012 and marked our 30-year reunion. We played 2nd to last on the bill for about an hour or so. That year (unlike this summer) we seemed to enjoy a substantial amount of rehearsal time to boot. ENTER TODAY; Once again, we are pleased to share our zeal and enthusiasm with you, the Wizardites (yes, all 14 of you), all the attending FowlerFesters as well as all other friends & family in the form of Wizard Reunion #3, a head-lining, full-on 180-minute (+) two-set show with one 20-minute intermission!! Are you ready for this?? We arent--Doh!--I Mean We Are. Lol. Hope to see everyone there!!! Sunset at 7:15 PM. It should be a dandy!! Please, no rain. Until then......
