Today is Heatstroke Prevention Day, and we here at Chrysler Group - TopicsExpress

Today is Heatstroke Prevention Day, and we here at Chrysler Group think it is vitally important to join the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Safe Kids Worldwide (who provided the below image) helping raise awareness about the dangers of leaving a child in a hot car and help prevent vehicular heatstroke deaths. At least 19 children have died so far this year from vehicular heatstroke, according to NHTSA, which is the leading cause of non-crash vehicle deaths for children 14 and under. Sadly, 52% of kids who died from vehicular heatstroke were “forgotten” by their caregiver. Cases like this make vehicular heatstroke a 100% preventable tragedy, so be sure to look before you lock! Read more about why this is such an important issue on our blog. Join us in this cause by using the hashtags #heatstroke, #heatstrokekills and #checkforbaby on social media throughout the day with your posts, tweets and other updates related to Heatstroke Prevention Day.
