Today is International Permaculture Day!! Permaculture is a design system for sustainable living. Its about creating homes and communities that are productive and self reliant and have minimal impact on the environment. In support of this years theme, here are some suggestions each of us can do - besides learning about what Permaculture is: 1) resolve to visit a local Farmers Market this week seacoasteatlocal.org/seacoastharvest/index.php?page=farmersmarkets 2) Make a phone call and look into joining a local CSA 3) Spend some time outside today preparing this years garden, or if you do not have the space, look into patio vegetables & herbs. 4) Buy local free range eggs from a neighbor!
