Today is July 4th and it is Independence Day, here in the United States. I urge all my brothers and sisters around the globe to celebrate Independence Day, within themselves. As I observe the world I see many brothers and sisters who are actively taking action to correct what is wrong on our planet. I see so many others who seem to be waiting for others, including our cosmic brothers and sisters, to appear and solve our problems for us. One of the most significant statements I have read and heard in recent times was made by our Hopi brothers and sisters. All this time we have been waiting, only to find out that we have been waiting for ourselves. If this world is truly an illusion as we have been told, then it is each of us who has contributed to the illusion. If this is true, then each of us has the power to change the illusion. How can we do this? We can do this by stopping to wait for others to appear and “save us”. We are who we have been waiting for and it is up to us to individually become all we can be and create a new energy field that will change the entire world. There is an old story about a world in darkness when one person decided to light a candle. It wasn’t much light and the world continued to look dark, but within a short while someone else saw that one candle and decided to light a second candle. It was not long before others all began to light a candle and over time there was no darkness. Is it time for you to light your candle?
