Today is Kaitlyns 18th birthday. We wanted to spend the morning having fun together to celebrate because Kaitlyn and Emma had to work the afternoon/evening. We had quite to day... laughed, cried, cried, laughed and cried. Started off with breakfast at Cracker Barrel. We have so many memories there of Ben... when we all ordered grits we all started to cry... Ben loved grits and would say to the waiter the more grits the bigger the tip... :-) We went to the movie BIG HERO 6... that played at 11:15 (Kaitlyns fav # and her birthdate) in Bens favorite theater.... the three of us cried in the movie kept thinking he would have liked the movie and there were many reminders of him in the movie for us. When we got up to leave, one of our phones dropped and broke... we went to the ATT store to get a new phone and could hear Ben make a comment that the new phone was newer than his and his laugh... we cried when we left... We are all missing him so bad. Just want one of his awesome hugs... I listened to one of his messages I saved in voice mail. We see the many ways he sends us messages and reminders of him but sometimes it is hard. Dropped the girls off at work and by the time I made it to the Starbucks by my house I was a wet puddle of mush but wanted the chai he always got me. Poor girl at the window... tears could not stop... just wanted my drink and go home. He was such a wonderful Son, Brother and Uncle and friend to the three of us. Missing you so much Ben. Help us get through the next month and a half.... Darn it Ben.... I told Kaitlyn we just need to make new traditions for the holidays... But we are going to make his egg nog. He always made it and it was so good... Emma and Ben made it together. Oh, guess what Ben, I went and bought the snowblower we talked about... but you know that already.... Kaitlyn really could use your hug right now... You were such a great Uncle to her and she misses you... reminder her you are close, remind her she is special, remind her she is powerful and loved. We will keep reminding her too. I see the pain each of us have missing you. Remind us all!!!
