Today is Kids Public Safety Day from 11:30 to 2:30 on the west lawn of Canon City High School and at Icabone Swimming Pool. The street between will be closed down so they can hold events there. There will be free swim passes (for today only), free lunch, free child i.d. kits, bicycle helmets safety check. Kids can meet and talk with patrol officers and look at the police cars and motorcycles, ambulances fire trucks. Meet new School Resource Officer Tim Bell and representatives from the Colorado State Patrol and the Division of Wildlife. Enjoy a fun filled day with your local public safety officers!
