Today is Monday and it is time for me to switch hats and get back to Quality Irrigation. I wanted to thank everyone that participated in Highlander VI and I hope each and every one of you had a great time. I will continue to listen to your opinions and thoughts on how we can make the race even better for Highlander VII, coming next year! I cannot possibly say enough about the awesome volunteers we had help us for this event. You guys and gals were crazy awesome. Tons of people have been emailing and telling me that the volunteers were the best they had ever seen! That is so great to hear. I thank all of you for giving your time so ROA could have such a successful event. Of all the Highlanders thus far, this one brings the biggest smile to my face. I always try to have a main plan and two back up plans for each important thing that is happening, but at this race, I never swayed from Plan A. I never needed to go to plan B or even think about plan C. The sole reason for that is Chris Rock. Chris put everything on the line, always carried everything out to completion. I am so very proud of Chris and having him by my side. Wendys new sign up design went awesome as well! Signing in people by waves appears the way to get this done. This post would take 30 minutes to write to personally thank every one that made this event go off without any major or even non major problems. It was not me that put this event on, it was you, the volunteer, the unselfish people that helped... but it was also you the Participant. You guys helped each other, had patience at the showers waiting, waited in line at sign in without being loud and negative. You the Participants made me so very proud of all of you. The Participants that came to Highlander VI are always welcome back and encouraged to attend our events. I have raced many types of events, but the attending participants at Highlander VI were the best I have ever seen! Simply incredible! Before each of our Highlanders, many think about skipping it because they tend to believe the course and the obstacles will stay the same. They will always be wrong. Highlander VII will have many more huge obstacles when that date comes around. There will be a ton of changes on how we execute Highlander VII. We will post those details in the near future and announce the finalized date, which will most likely be in September of 2015. We will also post soon the info on the Extreme Intimidator, which be be most likely in June or July of 2015. Again, I thank all of you for sending me back into the Real World with a huge smile on my face! I am now so positive I am ready to handle anything the world throws at me. You the volunteer, Chris, Wendy and the awesome Participants have given me renewed strength! All Of You Sooo Very Rock! Jonny Simpkins
