Today is Remembrance Sunday, 100 years since WWI, yet it also falls today on the 25th anniversary of the breaking down of the physical Berlin Wall that divided East and West, the Iron Curtain, the two Germanies. How much longer will we wait for other divisions to crumble? Israel - Palestine, Western - Arab worlds, North and South Koreas, China - Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Tibet? We welcome change and openness; for we believe that freedom and security go together, that the advance of human liberty can only strengthen the cause of world peace. There is one sign the Soviets can make that would be unmistakable, that would advance dramatically the cause of freedom and peace. General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization, come here to this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall! bubblews/news/9346539-the-25-year-anniversary-of-the-fall-of-the-berlin-wall-germany #BerlinWall
