Today is Saturday and it is time for me to choose my Prayer Promise for next week! I pray the Promise each day. Usually several times a day. My Prayer Promise for next week is Psalms 37:4, Delight thyself also in The Lord; and He will give thee the desires of your heart. There are two key words in the text: (1) Delight- literally, Do what God wants you to do. It is a pleasure to do His Will!! To go where He wants us to go, to do what He wants us to do, and to be what He wants us to be!! (2) The second key word is,Desires. If we do, go, and be what God wants we will have the right desires and God has promised to give us our desires! The song writer penned,my Desire,to be like Jesus. Yes, I have personal desires that I will ask of my Lord, but they are secondary to my desire to be and to have what God wants for my life! This next week I will pray for many desires of my heart, but always having my greatest desire to, Delight in The Lord. God bless you today and do not forget to go to church this week- end!!
