Today is WORD OF WISDOM WEDNESDAY! In Judges 7, Gideon is about to go up against the Midianite army. The Lord tells him he has too many people. If victory comes, they will think it is because of their numbers instead of God. So God tells him to weed out the group by sending everyone who is afraid home (v. 3) and then send the ones who kneel to drink from the water home (vv. 4-7). Here is the word of wisdom: You cannot tell everyone everything and everyone cannot come. Quit looking for group consensus and public approval for the stuff God told you to do. If you tell the vision to fearful people, they will try to talk you out of it. If you try to get public consensus, they will try to co-opt the vision because they put "skin in the game" or take credit for the success. So don;t get caught up in people. Go with God, that is wisdom!
