Today is World Autism Day 2014, and April is also Autism Awareness Month. & this handsome little boy is my 8 year old brother, Sean aka Lil Buddha, and he is Autistic. Despite sometimes feeling like it would be easier for him to navigate through life if this wasnt the case, I wouldnt change a single thing about him (except maybe a habit he has of smushing his Silly Putty into all of my clothes & bedding, or the way he makes sure he rubs his hands all over my hair right after tearing apart his peanut butter sandwich with his fingers). He has taught me more about life, love, patience, and gratitude than anyone or anything else could have in 100 lifetimes. He is the light and love of my life, and my worst day with him is better than my best day without him. Things do get tough, an Autistic child isnt the easiest thing to deal with; it takes dedication, neverending patience, and unwavering love. But we learn together, we make this journey through life hand-in-hand, and he will be with me for the rest of my days. I love you, Sean Patrick, with every fiber of my being. «AutismWarriors»
