Today is a bittersweet day for me. After 9 1/2 years (one third of my life), and 2 combat deployments, today will be my last day in the Marine Corps. I would like to take the time to thank all of those Marines, both past and present, that I have had the honor and privilege to proudly serve with. I know I will forget to tag some of you, but you have all had an impact on my Marine Corps career, and therefore my life. I gained such cherished friendships that could only be forged by the rigorous training and perils of combat. For that and the memories associated with then, I am entirely grateful. More importantly I would like to thank my family and friends for all of their love and support. I stood strong next to my brothers-in-arms, but you are the ones that kept me standing at all. Your support, encouragement, comfort, and pride has been overwhelming. I can not thank you all enough, and know that it has not gone unnoticed. I thank God for all of you being in my life. So here is to the beginning of a new chapter. My favorite verse: Psalms 23
