Today is a bittersweet day for me and many others because today marks the end of placement. I still remember feeling nervous and useless on my first day and scared that Id send someone into Cardiac Arrest.. That feels like a lifetime ago but in all honesty it was like a minute compared to what lies ahead. So glad Im not where I used to be; going nowhere and just settling with what life threw at me because it was comfortable. Without the struggles and sacrifices, tears, sweat and longing this opportunity would not be possible. I have learnt that He will fulfill my dreams even of it isnt the way I would have went about it & that it may take longer than Id like. Will miss my neuroscience ward like crazy even if a few of you seem grumpy and unapproachable but in all honesty I really enjoyed my time with you guys! I cant even begin to thank you enough for putting up with me bombarding you with questions, tailing you into inservices and teaching me all these crazy new skills and knowledge! I walk away with the best memories.. This opportunity has just cemented my determination and desire to become the best nurse I can be. So when I graduate in a few short years with flying freaken colours that itll be because of all of you! Sorry just had to share this amazing feeling with everyone hahaha!! I may be back to reality this weekend but it just means that Im one step closer to my goal!! So my bible verse right now is Philippians 3:13-14 “Forget what is behind and straining toward what is ahead; I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Taken out of context but right now it just feels right!
