Today is a celebration of achievement for Debbie, Jean, Falkirk Criminal Justice and Cyrenians. This service was developed in partnership with Falkirk Criminal Justice. Peer mentoring isn’t new, but what makes this unique is that it’s built around people who are recruited due to their experience of being in the Criminal Justice System. They have turned their lives around and can now support women who are just becoming involved with criminal justice. Debbie and Jean began the training programme in April and have underwent an intensive 10 week training programme, followed on by the opportunity to get their SQA in Building your own Employability Skills and Child Protection training. Debbie and Jean have now been allocated their mentees and Jean has had her first meeting on Friday
