Today is a day of careful stepping… We made it through! Yesterday, which you already may have blocked part of it out, was an important day astrologically. We experienced a New Moon in Virgo and the Mars/Saturn conjunction. Two cycles starting with similar agendas. If I were to choose a word to stitch them together, it would be: Patience! Burning Man wasn’t built in a day… …especially when it rains—HARD! For myself, I had a pretty mellow New Moon Monday. I cleaned my friends house, making it inviting for her return, spending most the day in Denver, reading, writing, and reflecting on all the changes we are going through with loads of chai in my mind. It was good. But by nights end, when I found out Burning Man had been postponed due to flooding, the transits came alive in a big way. The Virgo New Moon reminded us that we cannot control life, we just need to trust it. Mars & Saturn showed us what happens when our personal agendas meet the bricks of reality. And so….again, Patience is our practice. It all really does happen for a reason. .: The Image :. Black skies reflecting off an overly hydrated desert, speckled and illuminated by thousands of lights—white and red—turning and going, spinning and knowing: There is nothing to be done, but wait. …I thought it was bad enough waiting in line in 2012 (my first and only Burn) for countless hours just to get in. What is happening out there now is another thing entirely. Our fellow burners are either going to return mad or enlightened by the wait. (moving away from the Playa…) .: The Feeling :. Traction finally being made. Flickers at the end of the tunnel. Forgetful, delusional, imagining…a tad impatient. Wanting it to look a certain way. Sore from the weight you’ve been carrying. Rewarded. Sinking in. Cleaning up yourself and your space. Imprinted by impermanence. Incredible. Steady stepping with a couple close calls. Calm after the storm. Resentful, waiting for it to pass. Eager to see results. Alive. .: The Summoning :. As we walk away from the Sphinx with the Virgo Goddess by our sides, we are lucky to have our rain boots on, because there is still lots of standing water. The sky has been crying for us all, with us all. Tough times, inside and out. Let’s not forget our New Moon intentions. They will come true if keep them close. Allies they will be.
