Today is a day of celebration, and I will post about that later. I am glad theres so much to celebrate because today we also remember that awful day seven years ago when our bridge fell into the water. We lost thirteen people, 145 injured, and hundreds more whose lives were changed by what happened. There were miracles that day, too, and we saw the best in people as they ran to help and were quick to comfort and aid survivors. I have a beautiful photo of the underside of the new bridge hanging in my office to remember the courage, strength and resiliency of Minneapolis. I also say a prayer for those lost and those saved every time I cross that same bridge. Heres to them.
